In our interview series, we talk to the chads of Crypto Twitter — people that share the best alpha and have won the community’s respect. This time we’re talking to The DeFi Investor, who talks about the next narratives and catalysts in the crypto market.

How long have you been in crypto & what was your first investment?
I started investing in crypto in early 2021. At first, I bought some $BTC without really understanding how it works, hoping to make some quick easy money. Eventually, as time passed I went down the rabbit hole and became more passionate about DeFi.

Full-time
What did you do before crypto?
I was mostly providing marketing services and flipping stocks from time to time.
What are Soulbound Tokens and any particular protocols to watch out for developing SBTs?
Soulbound Tokens are non-transferable NFTs representing a person’s identity on-chain, including credit score, work history, and any other type of information that makes up a person. I would say that they are still in the early stages of development and we haven’t seen any popular DeFi protocols integrating SBTs yet. Goldfinch and RabbitHole are a few interesting projects using SBTs.
Name 3 of your current favourite protocols.
Kujira, Gains Network, and Trader Joe. All of them have dedicated teams that impressed me with their recent progress this year.
There are two new imaginary protocols — one founded by Vitalik and the other by Elon Musk. You can only invest in one — which do you choose and why?
I would probably invest in Vitalik’s protocol as he has a better understanding of how this industry works.
You can only own one — BTC, USD, or ETH — which one do you choose?
ETH — This might be the riskiest bet out of all three, but I strongly believe that Ethereum will remain the DeFi Hub at least for the next 3–5 years.
Most underrated protocol in terms of impact on the whole DeFi space?
@LiquityProtocol without a doubt. They’ve developed one of the most censorship-resistant stablecoins and they’ve been among the first projects that understood the importance of decentralized frontends.
