First of all, congratulations on making it this far! It’s up to you if you want to take an active role in the Legion or just wait until the airdrop arrives and staking becomes available.
Let’s look at the roadmap, to see what have we accomplished and where we are heading. After that, we will review the yield wars. Remember every component of Clip Finance is interconnected. Some items introduced on the roadmap might be new to you. I wanna stress that our goal is to take whatever is working on the market. Improve, simplify it, and make it available for our users.

About the action — what are the Yield Wars exactly?
Yield Wars is gamified yield farming which is accessed via minting Clip’s NFT. 10 Legions (1000 NFTs in each Legion) are battling for supremacy and for the bigger share of the protocol revenues and the resulting juicy NFT yield. Each battle lasts for 14 days after which a snapshot of the collected Mana is taken. Mana is not tradeable and is simply a metric we’re using to track which Legion is contributing the most and thus gets a better yield. The amount of Mana each Legion collects determines how big a share of the revenue the Legion receives.
What is a Legion?
Think of your legion as a SubDAO of Clip Finance. What is a SubDAO? A SubDAO is a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) created by another decentralized autonomous organization (DAO). It is an offshoot of the parent DAO, providing services to token holders and having its own governance structure and code.
Each of those 10 SubDAOs or Legions has 1000 Warriors. A collective contribution from the warriors will yield the best results, but it’s up to you if you want to stay passive or choose to participate actively. But remember, the more Mana each of the Legion warriors (NFT owners) collects individually, the more likely it is that your Legion will dominate.
Point System (Mana calculation)
- Total deposits (TVL) — $1 = 1 MANA
- Deposits by referred users — $1 = 1 MANA
- Governance Participation — 1 vote = 100 MANA
- Clip Staking — 1 Clip = 10 Mana
Deposits on Clip
Every dollar that your Legion deposits on Clip Finance will give you 1 Mana. Mana is not a token nor can it be traded. It’s simply a metric we’re using to determine how big a share of the protocol revenue will be distributed to each Legion.
If your Legion provides $1,500,000 in total deposits, the Legion will get 1,500,000 Mana from this category or War Zone.
The same logic applies to measuring the deposits by referred users. Referred deposits are the total deposits provided by the users your Legion invites to using Clip Finance with a special invite link.
You will receive a referral link tied to your Legion. Clip Protocol smart contract will mark your legions referral code during the deposit.
14 days
Over the forthcoming 14 days, we will track active deposits, which will gradually amass Mana. The volume of Mana accumulated depends on the number of deposits and the length of time these deposits generate yield. In other words, the more deposit and the longer these deposits yield, the more Mana you will collect. These deposits can be directly from the Legion members or Indirectly by referring others.
Track and Earn
Once the Yield Wars goes live, these metrics will be trackable on a dashboard. In the meanwhile, just sit back and relax and let the Clip team do its work. Or become an advocate like this guy. In the next article, we will cover what it’s in it for the Legion activists.
