We are thrilled to share that our one-of-a-kind TVL-based tokenomics has garnered positive feedback and recognition from industry experts and blockchains. Our goal is to set a new standard for fair tokenomics, ensuring that the token generation event (TGE) is not merely an opportunity for early investors to dump their tokens on others due to earlier unlock schedules.
Clip Finance’s TVL-Based Tokenomics
At Clip Finance, our TVL-based tokenomics ensure the same unlock schedule for everyone — team, investors, advisors, and TVL providers. We previously detailed this in our Medium post.
The TGE is the most crucial event for any protocol, requiring alignment on all fronts. We are proud to announce that we have reached $1,000,000 in TVL. However, we need more time to prepare for a smooth launch. This extra time will allow us to collaborate with our partners and conduct the TGE on 6th of August 2024.
Despite the delay, there will be no preferential treatment. Everyone entitled to $CLIP tokens will be able to start claiming them simultaneously on 6th of August 2024.
Important reminders:
- The first milestone unlocks a total of 5,349,144 tokens, which is 0.53% of the total $CLIP supply. You can view the $CLIP unlock schedule here.
- Tokens from the first milestone are not all instantly available. They are vested over a 90-day period, linearly every block. This means you can claim tokens from the first milestone over a 90-day period, and by the end of this period, all tokens from the first milestone will be claimable in your wallet.
- The same 90-day vesting period applies to every new milestone unlock. This embodies the essence of our unique and fair $CLIP tokenomics for everyone.
- Before the TGE, we will announce the $CLIP token claim page with detailed information about the claiming process.
- We will provide educational materials and announcements related to our TVL based tokenomics
