A Brief Background Of Clip Finance

In this article, we’re going to give a brief intro to the background of the Clip Finance team.

Clip Finance is a decentralized stablecoin yield optimization protocol. Our goal is to simplify access to DeFi yields and to help onboard the next 1b people to crypto.

Although smart contracts are executing the whole process from the moment you deposit the funds to the protocol to withdrawing funds, there’s still a team behind the protocol that has developed the platform.

We’re currently a team of nine located in Europe and North America. 5 people are working on the product, and the rest are doing biz ops and marketing.

The core contributors include people who’ve built retail-focused crypto products with more than 10 million users (and more than $7bn volume transacted), ex-founders of tokenization platform and FinTech in TradFi, a winner of a Chainlink hackathon, and so forth. Most importantly, we’re all builders and degen yield farmers, and we’re turning our passion into reality with Clip Finance.

We’re still adding people to the team, and working out terms with a financial engineer with a PhD in financial mathematics, as well as bringing in a former CEO of a tech company who lead the company to $35m in annual sales.

We believe that an average team with a great idea has less chance of success than a great team with an average idea. As an investor, I would choose the latter every time. That’s why we’re focused on getting as many A-players to our team as possible.
